Rooted in Ritual: How I Start My Days with Intention

Over time, I’ve learned that how I begin my day shapes everything that follows. And in a world that often pulls us in a thousand directions before we’ve even had our first sip of tea, returning to the body, to breath, to presence—first thing—has been essential for me.

In this season of growth and grounding, I wanted to share my morning rituals—the simple, meaningful ways I reconnect with myself each day.

My Daily Rituals

1. Squat, Rise & Tap
This is a practice I learned from Dr. Shivani Gupta during a retreat. Each morning, before doing anything else, I gently squat down, rise up, and tap the crown of my head. It’s a physical and energetic reset that says, “I’m here. I’m present. I’m ready.” and P.S. my first stop in the bathroom is a great success!

2. Lemon Water in a Mug I Love
Next, I pour a warm cup of water with fresh lemon into whichever fun or cozy mug calls to me that day. It’s a small but powerful way to nourish my body and make the moment feel special.

3. Time Outside in Quiet Thought
I sit outside whenever possible. Just me, the breeze, the birds, and my thoughts. It’s my space to tune in, reflect, and connect with whatever is moving through me.

4. Rebounding with Intention
I take a few minutes to bounce gently on my bosu ball—nothing intense, just a light movement that wakes my system up and allows me to check in with how my body is feeling.

5. Sound & Frequency
Recently, I welcomed a set of crystal singing bowls into my home and have been teaching myself how to use them. The tones bring so much presence and energy into the space—and into me.

6. Setting the Tone
I tear the page off my daily calendar, set an intention, and ask myself: What do I want to embody today? Then, I carry that with me through the hours that follow.

Why Rituals Matter

These practices might seem simple—but that’s the beauty of them. They’re not about perfection or performance. They’re about presence. They help me begin my day on my own terms—mindfully, lovingly, and with space to listen inward.

Whether your morning starts quietly or in motion, I invite you to consider what one small ritual you could anchor yourself with. What would it feel like to begin the day as a sacred act of self-connection?

If you have your own morning ritual, I’d love to hear it. You can comment below or message me directly. We grow stronger through sharing.
